Our Commitment

SKJ Builders is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance means content meets all Level AA success criteria.

Our current status: Partially conformant. Some content may not yet fully meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We are actively working to address known gaps.

Technical Specifications

Our website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1:

  • HTML5 with semantic markup
  • CSS3 with sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
  • JavaScript for enhanced interactivity with keyboard navigation support

Accessibility Features

  • All images include descriptive alt text or are marked decorative
  • Color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA thresholds (white text on #111218 background = 16.5:1 ratio)
  • Font sizes use relative units (rem/em) and respect browser zoom settings
  • Navigation is keyboard accessible with visible focus indicators
  • Form fields include associated labels
  • Page language is declared in HTML lang attribute (lang=”en-US”)
  • Headings follow a logical hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3)
  • Click-to-call phone links work with screen readers
  • Skip navigation link provided for keyboard users

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

  • Some third-party embedded content (maps, forms) may have accessibility gaps outside our direct control
  • PDF documents, if any, may not be fully accessible
  • Complex data tables are being audited for proper markup
